Preci-Spark is seeking a motivated and experienced Despatch Manager to join our busy and experienced team. As Despatch Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and timely movement of products to customers while maintaining compliance with all relevant shipping, export and trade regulations. You will be responsible for managing the despatch function, coordinating logistics activities, and supporting continuous improvements across the supply chain.

Requirements
- Proven experience in a Despatch, Logistics, Shipping or Supply Chain Management role
- Previous experience managing a despatch or warehouse team
- Strong knowledge of shipping, freight, courier and logistics operations
- Experience with ITC (International Trade Compliance), including export control procedures, customs documentation and international shipping requirements
- Understanding of import and export regulations and associated documentation
- Experience using ERP, MRP or warehouse management systems
- Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple deadlines effectively
- Excellent communication skills when interacting with customers, suppliers and colleagues
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Professional and proactive approach to work
- Full UK driving licence desirable
- Commitment to Health, Safety and Environmental compliance

The Role
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the despatch department, ensuring products are shipped accurately and on time
- Lead, motivate and develop the despatch team to achieve departmental objectives
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments through approved logistics providers
- Ensure all shipping, export and customs documentation is completed accurately and compliantly
- Maintain compliance with ITC requirements, export controls and relevant trade regulations
- Liaise with customers, freight forwarders, couriers and internal departments to ensure efficient order fulfilment
- Monitor and manage delivery performance, investigating and resolving shipping issues where necessary
- Maintain accurate despatch records and inventory transactions within company systems
- Support stock control and inventory accuracy activities
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within despatch and logistics processes
- Ensure adherence to company quality standards and Health, Safety and Environmental requirements
- Produce and analyse departmental KPIs, reporting on performance and improvement initiatives
