Engineering Supervisor – Night Shift

Shift Pattern: 5/7 or 4 on 4 off

The Role
Based at the Glasgow depot, this Engineering Supervisor (Night Shift) position is a key leadership role focused on keeping the fleet safe, compliant, and fully operational.
You’ll lead from the front, supporting and developing your team while overseeing both planned maintenance and reactive repairs. Your input will directly impact fleet availability, reliability, and overall service delivery.
Key Duties
- Support the Engineering Manager in maintaining a large PSV fleet
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers to maximise performance
- Plan and allocate workload, including managing last-minute changes and absences
- Ensure vehicles are available and ready to meet operational demands
- Oversee stock control and assist with warranty processes
- Maintain accurate records across engineering, fleet, and compliance systems
- Handle disciplinary, absence, and performance management processes
- Work closely with operations to manage breakdowns, allocations, and service reliability
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
- Previous supervisory experience within a workshop environment
- Strong understanding of health & safety practices
- Good organisational and IT skills
- Full UK driving licence (PCV desirable but not essential)
- Right to work in the UK
