About the Company
Our client is one of the UK's largest independent Accident Repair Groups, with over 30 years of expertise within the vehicle repair industry. Operating from a nationwide network of repair centres, they are renowned for delivering high-quality repairs using the latest equipment, technology, and repair methods.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a skilled Bodyshop Mechanic to join their busy and successful site in Harlesden.
This position would particularly suit a technician with a main dealership background who is looking to bring their mechanical expertise into a modern accident repair environment.
The Role
As a Bodyshop Mechanic, you will play a key role in restoring vehicles to manufacturer and pre-accident standards. Working closely with the wider repair team, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of mechanical repairs and vehicle inspections on damaged vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical repairs on accident-damaged vehicles
- Diagnose faults and identify mechanical issues
- Remove and refit vehicle components as required
- Carry out suspension, steering, braking, and drivetrain repairs
- Complete vehicle inspections and safety checks
- Work to manufacturer specifications and repair methods
- Assist with vehicle strip and refit operations where required
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment in line with Health & Safety regulations
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A recognised Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification (essential)
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or Bodyshop Mechanic
- Ideally a background within a Main Dealership environment
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience working to manufacturer repair standards
- Excellent attention to detail and quality of workmanship
- The ability to manage your workload and meet deadlines
- A positive, team-focused attitude with the ability to work independently when required
- A full UK driving licence
