Duties
- Prepare and serve meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
- Handle food with care, adhering strictly to food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure freshness
- Support food preparation activities including chopping, cooking, plating, and garnishing to deliver visually appealing dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils
- Collaborate with team members during catering events or special dining occasions to deliver seamless service
- Demonstrate excellent food service skills by serving guests professionally and courteously while managing multiple tasks efficiently
Experience
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with special dietary requirements
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service within the food industry or fine dining environments
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices
- Skilled in culinary techniques including knife skills, food plating, and ingredient management
- Background in catering or large-scale food service operations is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to teamwork and customer satisfaction.
