As a high-quality childcare provider, we are currently looking for enthusiastic, energetic, and motivated Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioners to join the Little Angels team, working TERM-TIME initially within our setting based in Grangetown, Cardiff.
You will work as part of a multi-agency team alongside dietetics, Health Visitors, Speech & Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, Advisory Teachers, the Parenting Team, and our inclusion team to ensure every child in our care is provided with every opportunity to reach their full potential.
As a Flying Start setting you will be given the most up-to-date training to include mandatory training; First Aid, Child Protection, Behaviour Management, and an extensive program in line with professional development to include, wellbeing, yoga, Makaton, team building and many more.
You will need to be confident, driven, and most importantly passionate about childcare.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a Level 2/3 qualification or above in childcare and ideally have previous experience in a nursery environment.
- Work 32.5 hours a week Monday to Friday term time.
- Be passionate to work with children.

Job Duties Summary:
- Be a positive role model for all children, encouraging individual children through praise and scaffolding.
- Delivering the topics and program of learning, ensuring differentiation for individual children.
- Observe and record the children’s progress using company documentation.
- Complete daily records of activities and routines for all children and report progress to parents/carers.
- Develop good communications with parents/carers ensuring that they are greeted on arrival and departure.
- Attend all stay & play sessions.
- Monitor the health and wellbeing of children.
- Participate as a key worker and be responsible for a specific group of children during the settling-in sessions and daily thereafter.
- Being fully responsible for their key child’s learning journeys, observations and transition documents.
- Assist in creating a stimulating and attractive environment for the children.
- Always maintain confidentiality.
- Oversee maintenance of equipment and toys and report any problems to the Deputy Setting Leader.
- Adhering to Health and Safety policies, upholding risk assessments, and relevant documentation.
- Always maintain staff ratios.
- Ensure all letters and information are passed on to the parents/carers daily.
