Summary
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef or Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team at The Three Crowns in Plymouth. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety, and delivering exceptional English dishes and seafood dishes that reflect our commitment to excellence and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high-quality standards.
- Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Develop new recipes and menu items that delight customers.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to foster a skilled and motivated team.
- Collaborate with management to optimize kitchen workflows and customer satisfaction.
- Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking.
- Excellent team management and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for English cuisine is a plus.
