Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, courteous service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems or manually
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in regularly and addressing any concerns promptly
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas
- Follow food safety regulations and proper handling procedures at all times
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required, adhering to hygiene standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods while maintaining professionalism
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are key
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques preferred
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
- Ability to handle fast-paced environments calmly under pressure
- Guest service-oriented mindset with a friendly demeanour
- Willingness to upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
