Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to maintain and enhance the beauty of outdoor landscapes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance, with practical experience using various gardening tools and techniques. Duties
- Planting, cultivating, and maintaining a variety of plants, shrubs, trees, and flowers
- Using hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems to ensure healthy growth and proper watering
- Pruning, trimming, and shaping plants to promote healthy development and visual appeal
- Installing new landscape features such as flower beds, lawns, or pathways
- Performing regular maintenance tasks including mowing, weeding, fertilising, and mulching
- Monitoring plant health and identifying pests or diseases for timely intervention
- Assisting with seasonal planting and landscape redesign projects
- Ensuring all gardening equipment is well-maintained and stored safely after use
Experience
- Proven experience in gardening or horticulture is preferred
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools such as secateurs, spades, rakes, and shovels
- Experience operating power tools including hedge trimmers, lawnmowers, and leaf blowers
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and their installation or repair is advantageous
- Growing experience or background in landscape maintenance is highly desirable
- A genuine interest in gardening practices, plant care, and environmental sustainability
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina and attention to detail
