Required a self-employed gardener looking to join a garden maintenance business based in Borehamwood. This a great opportunity for a an individual with initiative and a pro-active attitude.
The position requires an proficient gardener who has worked in the industry a few years and has a good knowledge of plants, the ability to operate gardening machinery, e.g. lawnmowers, grass trimmers, hedge-cutters in a safe capacity, with attention to detail, in order to ensure that gardens both residential and commercial are maintained to a high standard.
Your daily responsibilities will include all aspects of gardening work:
- General gardening services;
- Cultivating, planting, pruning and shaping of all shrubs
- Weeding and tending for all gardens and cultivated flowering beds
- Sweeping and removing debris from hard-standings
Personal abilities and skills:
- Good health and fitness level, as the work that we do is physical and can be demanding
- Good timekeeping
- Willingness to travel, which may involve early starts/late finishes
- Well presented with good communication skills
- A ‘can do' attitude and desire to learn and develop new skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team, as well as unsupervised
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and with our clients
- Be able to carry out routine tasks safely as directed and escalate any issues to the business owner when required
A full clean UK clean driving licence and a good understanding of the English language is essential.
Salary will depend on level of experience and will be discussed during the interview.
