Hotel Operations Manager
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Hotel Operations Manager to join our management team and play a key role in the day-to-day running of our busy hotel, wedding and events venue.
This is a varied and responsible role with a particular focus on Food & Beverage, Weddings & Events, while also maintaining an overview of the wider hotel operation.
You will work closely with the General Manager and Food & Beverage Manager, supporting them with the day-to-day running of the operation and ensuring the hotel continues to deliver high standards.
The successful candidate will have the autonomy and responsibility to run the day-to-day operation of the venue, make decisions, manage the team and deal with operational issues as they arise.
Key ResponsibilitiesFood & Beverage
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the restaurant, bar and wider Food & Beverage operation.
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to ensure the department operates efficiently and to the required standards.
- Support the Food & Beverage Manager with team management, performance and daily operations.
- Manage and review F&B rotas to ensure the business is appropriately staffed.
- Complete and oversee regular stocktakes and stock control.
- Manage wet ordering, ensuring appropriate stock levels and good cost control.
- Monitor wastage, GP and labour costs.
- Ensure high standards of food, service, cleanliness and presentation.
- Support the F&B team during busy services, weddings and events.
- Deal with guest feedback and resolve issues professionally.
- Ensure all food safety, licensing and company procedures are followed.
Weddings & Events
- Take an active role in the planning and smooth running of weddings and events.
- Oversee the operational delivery of weddings and functions from setup through to completion.
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and wider team to ensure weddings and events are properly staffed and delivered.
- Work closely with couples, organisers and suppliers where required.
- Coordinate the hotel team during busy wedding and event days.
- Ensure the venue is presented to a high standard before, during and after events.
- Take responsibility for dealing with operational issues that arise during events.
Wider Hotel Operations
Whilst the main focus of the role will be Food & Beverage, Weddings & Events, you will also maintain an overview of the wider hotel operation.
You will work closely with the relevant Heads of Department and supervisors to ensure standards are maintained and any issues are dealt with quickly.
You will work closely with the General Manager to support the overall running and development of the hotel.

Pay: Up to £33,000.00 per year
