TRAINEE CONSTRUCTION LABOURER
Full Time | 4-Day Week | Central Scotland | Immediate Start
We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Trainee Construction Labourer to join our team for an immediate start.
This would particularly suit a school or college leaver, or someone looking for their first opportunity within the construction industry.
Pay will be dependent on age and experience and will meet all applicable National Minimum Wage requirements.
This is an entry level position and would be ideal for someone starting out in the construction industry who wants to learn practical skills from experienced tradesmen and build a long term career.
No previous construction experience is required. We're much more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.
You will work alongside our experienced joiners, builders and groundworkers across a wide variety of projects, including house extensions, property renovations, general building and joinery works.
The Role
You will learn and assist with:
- General construction and site work
- Joinery and building tasks
- Groundworks
- Preparing work areas and materials
- Demolition and strip out works
- Safely using hand and power tools
- Moving and organising materials
- Keeping sites clean, tidy and safe
- Assisting experienced tradesmen with their work
- Learning how construction projects operate from start to finish
- Taking on additional tasks and responsibility as your skills develop

Location & Getting to Work
Our office and yard are based in Stirling, with projects carried out across Central Scotland.
Although a driving licence is not required, applicants must be able to make their own way to our yard, office or designated job site for the required start time each day.
We do not provide a daily pick up and drop off service.

Trial & Probationary Period
A trial period will form part of our recruitment process to ensure the position is suitable for both parties.
The successful applicant will then complete an initial three month probationary period. Continued permanent employment will be subject to successfully completing this period.
We're not expecting you to arrive knowing everything. Turn up on time, work hard, listen and be willing to learn we'll help you develop the skills.

Pay: £8.00-£10.85 per hour
Expected hours: 38.0 per week
