Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment. This role requires a blend of administrative skills and a passion for animal care, making it perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced veterinary setting.
Duties
- Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up to date.
- Process payments and handle billing inquiries with precision.
- Assist veterinary staff with laboratory tasks as needed, including preparing samples for analysis.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organised, and welcoming at all times.
- Provide clients with information on pet health, wellness programmes, and available services.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care environment is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to empathise with clients during stressful situations.
- Proficient in using computer systems for scheduling and record management.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing high-quality care.
Working Hours
8:30 AM- 1:30 PM or 2 PM- 7 PM
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.71-£14.50 per hour
