Job Summary

Duties
- Assist experienced tinsmiths and fabricators in cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal components using hand tools and power tools
- Learn to perform welding tasks including TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and Stick welding under supervision to join metal parts securely
- Support fabrication processes by measuring, marking, and preparing materials with precision and attention to detail
- Help with the installation of fabricated metal pieces in various projects, ensuring proper alignment and fit
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including tool maintenance and safety checks
- Follow safety protocols at all times while handling tools, equipment, and materials
- Gradually take on more complex tasks as skills develop, contributing actively to team projects
Skills
- Basic understanding of mechanical concepts and the ability to follow detailed instructions
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment such as TIG and Stick welders
- Knowledge of sheet metal properties and fabrication techniques
- Strong attention to detail for accurate measurements, cutting, and assembly
- Good basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fabrication tasks
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards
- Willingness to learn new skills related to welding, fabrication, and assembly processes

Pay: £25,420.00-£44,213.38 per year
