Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant - Part Qualified to join our finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals pursuing their accounting qualification to gain practical experience within a dynamic financial services environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting financial management activities, assisting with reporting, and contributing to the organisation’s financial health. Prior experience with accounting software and a strong understanding of financial processes are essential for success in this position.
Duties
- Assist in preparing management accounts and financial reports using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
- Support accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices
- Contribute to the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to aid decision-making
- Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with organisational policies
- Collaborate with senior team members to improve financial procedures and reporting accuracy
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
- Support internal audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Mentor junior team members where appropriate, fostering a collaborative working environment
Qualifications
- Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a strong desire to develop further within financial management
- Proven experience working with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, PeopleSoft or similar platforms
- Knowledge of financial services industry is advantageous but not essential
- Familiarity with financial accounting principles, accounts payable processes, and general ledger management
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Demonstrated mentoring abilities or willingness to develop leadership skills
