We are a growing construction and development company delivering high-quality residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. Due to continued expansion, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Construction Development Surveyor to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional who enjoys working across the full development lifecycle, from land acquisition and feasibility through to project delivery and completion.
The Role
As a Construction Development Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting the successful planning, development, and delivery of construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, planners, architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure developments are commercially viable and delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake site inspections, surveys, and development appraisals.
- Assess development opportunities and prepare feasibility reports.
- Provide cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Assist with land acquisition and due diligence processes.
- Prepare and review contracts, tender documentation, and procurement strategies.
- Monitor project costs, valuations, and cash flow throughout the construction process.
- Manage variations, valuations, and final accounts.
- Liaise with local authorities, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure projects comply with planning regulations, building regulations, and health and safety legislation.
- Produce detailed reports and present findings to senior management and clients.
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience within construction, property development, or surveying.
- Strong commercial awareness and financial management skills.
- Excellent understanding of construction contracts and procurement methods.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- MRICS or working towards professional chartership.
- Experience with residential and commercial developments.
- Knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction software packages.
Pay: From £45,000.00 per month
