Aspira Education are recruiting a Drama Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced secondary school in Bedford (MK42 6BA) from September 2026.
This role is covering a phased return for an existing member of staff. However, the successful candidate will be required to work 5 days per week throughout the placement.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm.

About the Role
As a Drama Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Inspire pupils through performance, creativity, and practical learning.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident expressing themselves.
- Support pupils of varying abilities to achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to school productions, performances, and enrichment opportunities where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within a supportive and community-focused school environment.

What We're Looking For
We welcome applications from:
- Qualified Drama Teachers (QTS/QTLS)
- Unqualified Teachers with strong Drama teaching experience
- Performing Arts specialists
- Experienced Cover Supervisors with Drama delivery experience
- Theatre professionals with experience working with young people
QTS is not essential for this role.
The school places greater value on your ability to engage students, deliver high-quality lessons, and create positive learning outcomes.

- A clear Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Two recent references
- Previous experience delivering Drama or Performing Arts lessons
- A willingness to complete free online safeguarding training provided by Aspira Education
- Be available to start in September 2026
