Consortium X Ltd is seeking an experienced Combat Systems Engineer to join our team. As a leading company in the defence industry, we design, develop, and integrate complex systems for military applications.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Combat Systems Engineer with 7 years of experience in designing, developing, and testing combat systems for naval military platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of combat systems, ensuring their integration with other systems, and validating their performance.
Essential Experience:
· Naval Combat Systems or Autonomous Systems experience.
· Chartered Engineer or 7 Years plus experience where a candidate can demonstrate they would be able to achieve chartership status.
· Proven Experience of leading Naval Combat or Autonomous Systems design and or engineering teams.
· Recent experience (last 5 years) of examining Ships taken up from Trade (STUFT).
· The candidate shall demonstrate recent experience (last 5 years) in how modern technology innovation in the Naval Environment can benefit the Royal Navy
· The candidate will have demonstrated experience in translating customer ideas and capability requirements into architectural design solutions and exploiting defence standards to shape and define design elements.
· recent experience (5 Years) of autonomous platforms, uncrewed vehicles with evidence experience in relevant pre-concept development of hybrid or disaggregated sense and effect systems.
Should Have:
· Demonstratable experience of disaggregated or Modular Sense, Decide, Connect and Effect capabilities.
· Evidenced experience of Sensors, Effectors and Command and Control systems.
· Ability and experience to produce high quality, well-structured and logically written reports.
· Recent experience in the last 5 years of similar scopes of work.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field
· Active Security Clearance
