Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Payroll - Account Managers to join our team in full-time capacities. In these roles, you will oversee payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing for diverse client accounts. Your expertise in payroll management systems and accounting software will drive efficiency and compliance across all payroll functions.
These positions offer exciting opportunities in supporting our clients processing Direct Payments and working with a dedicated team in delivering an exceptionally important service. The ideal candidates are proactive, highly organised, customer focused and posses a strong understanding of financial concepts related to payroll.
These are full time roles at 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working from your home on a remote basis, covering various Direct Payment Support Services (DPSS) contract areas across the UK.
Duties
To manage Direct Payment (DP) accounts and related financial administration, ensuring timely receipt of funds and the accurate processing of payroll, invoices, timesheets and pension payments. Candidates must have proven payroll experience, with the ability to process payroll accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and pension auto-enrolment requirements. Maintain up-to-date customer records across CRM, payroll and accounting systems, and work closely with Finance, local authorities and colleagues to resolve queries and support account setup and closures. Reconcile accounts, provide KPI data and reporting, deliver responsive customer support, and uphold high standards of accuracy, compliance and safeguarding, identifying and escalating concerns where customers may be vulnerable to financial or other abuse.
Person Specification:
Essential
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Substantial previous payroll experience
- Ability to travel occasionally for a face to face meetings in the locality of the contract area
- Experience of delivering excellent customer service through a range of mediums including face to face, telephone and email.
- Ability to use initiative to assist with problem solving and to escalate promptly where required.
- An eye for detail and a ‘get it right first time’ attitude
- Excellent numeracy, written and oral skills
- Excellent administrative skills, able to organise a wide range of information.
- Able to self-organise workload to meet fixed deadlines.
- IT literate with experience of Microsoft applications and familiarity with finance and payroll software packages
Desirable:
- Experience of working in a fast-moving payroll environment and/or assisted with direct responsibility for client accounts.
- Experience of working on pension administration and/or with knowledge of pension regulatory compliance
