Job Specification:
We are seeking a skilled Contracts Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of contracts within our organisation. They will report directly to the General Manager and manage a team of 20+ Safety Technicians spanning across the 3 sectors of our business, fall protection system installation, fall protection recertification and wind turbine statutory examinations and installations.
Job Duties
· Contracts Manager position managing multiple projects for a range of fall protection systems.
· Producing job packs for installations and service including load lists, risk assessments and safe work systems
· Provide marked-up drawings to ensure installations are completed accurately.
· Regularly liaise with the clients providing excellent customer service
· Ensure site visits are carried out to conduct quality checks and audits.
· Managing stock levels and ensuring all installers have stock/equipment to complete project.
· Producing RAMS and health & safety documents.
· Resolve onsite issues in a timely and professional manner.
· Average order values range from £2,000 to £600,000.
· To call, email and communicate with clients to organize the schedule of work.
· Co-ordinate activities to achieve agreed goals and exceed targets.
· Deal with all customer queries by phone and email.
· Collate pre-qualification questionnaires.
· Collate 3rd party accreditation documents.
· Keep up to date all registers for equipment, training, vehicles etc.
· Produce RAMS and ensure site inductions are completed as per the works schedule.
· Quote for service repairs and variations which are mid or post contract.
- Day to day line management of Contracts Team and Safety Technicians e.g. Recruitment, Absence and Performance Management and Engagement.
Education and Experience
- Must have Project / Contracts Management experience within the construction industry
- Ideally will have experience within the building envelope or related market sectors
- Ideally will have experience working at height
- IT Proficient (Microsoft Office)
· People management skills, including leadership and team management experience.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels
- Must be a resilient individual who is able to deal with any issues and possess excellent problem solving and organisational abilities.
- Essential – Full UK Driving Licence.
· IOSH Managing Safely (preferred) with a view to attaining NEBOSH within the first year of employment.
· Health and Safety knowledge within Construction
· Experience in Contract Management and working in a fast-paced environment.
· Experience in schedule multiple teams of installers.
· Logistical planning.
· Project planning.
