Alexandra Mill in Crewe is a purpose-built care home which opened in Summer 2023. We are looking for a new team member to join us.

We are looking for a full-time Kitchen Assistant to work 40 hours per week.
As part of this role, there will also be an expectation that you are able to cover Sous Chef shifts on a bank basis when required, for example during periods of annual leave or sickness.
The successful candidate must have the appropriate catering qualifications and experience to confidently provide Sous Chef cover when required.

To be considered for this position, you must hold:
NVQ/SVQ Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality, or City & Guilds equivalent
A valid Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
The ability and willingness to cover Sous Chef shifts on a bank basis when required for holiday and sickness cover
Ensuring the kitchen is cleaned to the highest standard
Pot washing
Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
Food preparation

Supporting the wider kitchen team
Providing Sous Chef cover on a bank basis when required
