We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Ice Rink Team Leader to help lead our ice rink team over the Christmas season.
This is a full-time temporary position, starting early November and finishing early January.
The Role…
As an Ice Rink Team Leader, you will help ensure the smooth and safe running of our ice rink operation, supporting and supervising the team throughout each shift.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting the Ice Rink team during shifts
- Ensuring rink sessions run safely and on time
- Monitoring the ice and ensuring customers follow safe skating practices
- Supporting the team with checking tickets, issuing skates and skate aids
- Dealing with customer queries and resolving any issues that arise
- Ensuring excellent customer service standards are maintained
- Organising the team during busy periods and ensuring tasks are completed
- Supporting the food and drink offering, including serving customers and processing till transactions
- Ensuring the rink and surrounding areas are kept clean, organised and safe
Hours…
This is a full-time role.
Our ice rink is open 7 days a week from 9am. From mid-November until early January, we are open until 8pm, so the successful candidate will need to be flexible and available to work a mixture of daytime, evening and weekend shifts.
Experience…
Candidates must be confident skating or walking on the ice and be comfortable enforcing safe practices on the rink.
You will need to be confident leading and supporting a team, particularly during busy periods, and able to deal calmly and professionally with customers and any issues that may arise.
Previous supervisory or Team Leader experience would be beneficial, particularly within a customer-facing, leisure, hospitality or retail environment.
Some parts of the role can involve heavy lifting, so candidates should ideally be physically fit.
Pay: Up to £12.75 per hour
