Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Soft Landscaper Subcontractor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor environments through various landscaping tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of horticulture, construction, and maintenance practices, with the ability to operate a range of mechanical and power tools. Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance activities including pruning, planting, turf care, and soil preparation.
- Operate mechanical equipment such as excavators and irrigation systems efficiently and safely.
- Use hand tools and power tools for tasks such as digging, edging, planting, and general site preparation.
- Conduct routine maintenance on landscaping equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with construction-related tasks including site clearing, grading, and installation of features.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to meet specifications and deadlines.
- Maintain organised work sites by managing waste disposal and ensuring tools are stored securely.
Experience
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture.
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating excavators, irrigation systems, and power tools.
- Familiarity with construction processes within outdoor environments.
- Hands-on experience with the use of hand tools such as spades, pruners, and trowels.
- Knowledge of plant care, soil management, and sustainable landscaping practices is desirable.
- Previous experience working as a subcontractor in outdoor settings is preferred but not essential.
