Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide vital assistance to individuals in need of personalised care and support. The role involves working closely with children and adults, fostering independence, and promoting wellbeing within a nurturing environment. The successful candidate will be committed to making a positive difference in people's lives through attentive and respectful support.
Duties
- Deliver personalised support tailored to the individual needs of clients, including assistance with daily living activities.
- Mentor clients to develop life skills, confidence, and independence.
- Support children in educational and recreational activities, encouraging participation and engagement.
- Assist with organising and facilitating teaching sessions or programmes aimed at skill development.
- Foster a safe, supportive environment by maintaining clear boundaries and promoting positive behaviour.
- Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure consistent support strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of support provided, progress made, and any incidents or concerns.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices and safeguarding procedures.
Skills
- Experience or interest in mentoring and supporting individuals with diverse needs.
- Proven ability to work effectively with children, demonstrating patience and understanding.
- Strong teaching skills, capable of delivering educational activities in an engaging manner.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport easily.
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others achieve their potential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team within a supportive environment.
Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
