About the Role
UWC Great Britain is looking for a creative and proactive Media Intern to amplify our digital presence, engage prospective applicants and build an active youth-led content pipeline. In this role, you will manage our main social channels, organise live virtual events and showcase the UWC experience to applicants across the UK.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a UWC Great Britain National Committee (GBNC) Alumni
- Must NOT be a current UWC student or an active applicant
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Management: Curate and schedule content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Facebook in line with our media calendar.
- YouTube Optimisation: Organise and update our YouTube channel with application advice, campus overviews and student testimonials.
- Youth Network Building: Recruit and lead a small student/alumni media team to facilitate campus takeovers and media content.
- Webinars & Events: Host and moderate the 'Zoom in on UWC' webinar series and December college information sessions for prospective students and parents.
- Website & Reporting: Perform routine website updates and track channel growth via monthly analytics reports.
What We Are Looking For
- Direct experience with UWC and the GB National Committee selection process.
- Knowledge of platform-specific content trends
- Strong organisational skills and ability to host engaging live Zoom sessions.
- Familiarity with basic website maintenance and social media analytics is a plus, though not essential.
Deliverables
By December, you’ll have established an ongoing student content pipeline, expanded our YouTube resource hub, successfully hosted our core application webinars, and provided key performance insights across our channels.
This internship may be subject to extension in December if desired.
