Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services across various residential and commercial projects. This role requires attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The successful applicant will contribute to creating aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained environments, ensuring customer satisfaction through professional craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care
- Use a variety of tools and equipment including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding safely and effectively
- Assist in colour matching and selecting appropriate materials for different projects
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their decorating requirements and provide professional advice
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times during work activities
- Complete projects within specified timeframes while maintaining high standards of quality
Experience
- Previous experience in construction painting or decorating is highly desirable
- Proven ability to work with different types of paints, wallpapers, and decorative finishes
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites
- Good command of English language for effective communication with clients and team members
- Strong communication skills to interpret project requirements accurately and liaise with colleagues effectively

Pay: £13.73-£23.79 per hour
