Chefs Cut Butchery is a modern retail and wholesale butchery supplying premium quality meat, dairy and cooked food products to pubs, restaurants, cafés and hospitality businesses across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and the surrounding areas.
As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team.
This is far more than just a driving role. You'll become the face of Chefs Cut, building relationships with our customers and ensuring every delivery is completed professionally and on time.
About the Role
As our Delivery Driver, you'll play a key role in ensuring our customers receive the exceptional service Chefs Cut is known for.
Working closely with our production and butchery teams, you'll help prepare orders before loading the van and delivering them safely to customers throughout the region.
You'll be trusted to represent our business professionally, manage your daily delivery route, and provide outstanding customer service at every stop.
No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys working independently while interacting with people.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare delivery crates and check customer orders before dispatch.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure orders are accurate and complete.
- Deliver orders safely and efficiently to wholesale customers.
- Build positive relationships with customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Represent the Chefs Cut brand professionally while on the road.
- Plan and manage daily delivery routes.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and ensure all documentation is returned correctly.
- Maintain the cleanliness, presentation and general upkeep of the delivery vehicle.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, including regular heavy lifting.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual.
- Friendly, approachable and professional.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Confident driving a large delivery van.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
- Passionate about providing outstanding customer service.
Experience within the hospitality, foodservice or wholesale industry would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Previous experience driving a large van.
- Ability to carry out manual handling and heavy lifting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Saturday availability (essential).
