Mother Shipton’s is looking for a Barista or Catering Assistant to serve high quality coffee and cakes, as well as hot dogs, pastries, soup and ice cream to visitors. The successful candidate will work in our cauldron kiosk and beautiful vintage-style coffee van.
The kiosk and coffee van are situated the middle of a woodland park which includes the Petrifying Well and Cave where Mother Shipton, a famous Prophetess, was born in 1488.
The role is Part-time, weekends with daytime or evening shifts available. The attraction is a seasonal park open from February - December.
Main duties include:
- Serving high quality coffee, ice cream, sweet and savoury treats
- Face to face customer service
- Processing transactions
Candidate specification:
- Have experience making and serving coffees to a high standard or eager to learn
- Be personable and confident interacting with customers
- Have a keen attention to detail
- Be self-motivated
- Be comfortable working alone and as part of a team
- Educated to secondary school level or equivalent
- Be happy working outdoors
Mother Shipton’s Cave is a seasonal attraction open from January to November and selected dates for Christmas. Hours of work will vary between 09.00am and 6pm depending on the time of year. Rate of pay is above the National Minimum Wage.
