Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Coffee Shop Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a background in food and beverage service. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the coffee shop team, ensuring smooth operation during shifts
- Assist with food preparation, including brewing coffee, making specialised drinks, and handling light food service tasks
- Oversee the training and development of staff, fostering a positive team environment
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage in accordance with food safety standards
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the premises
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to guarantee customer satisfaction
- Support the management team in implementing promotional activities and maintaining operational standards
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or barista roles within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Demonstrable supervising experience with team management skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and food production processes
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
- Previous experience in hospitality, including restaurant or hotel environments, is highly desirable
- Competence in serving customers efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanour
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary techniques is advantageous
- Experience in managing stock control and ensuring compliance with health regulations

Pay: £24,420.00-£33,707.41 per year
