Safeguarding Senior Social Worker, Adult Social Care
About the Team
Strategically the Safeguarding Adults Team are involved in attending and arranging high level meetings looking at aspects of safeguarding activity such as quality assurance through completion of audits, performance, training, communication and awareness raising.
The Team have a role in ensuring the Safeguarding Adult Board priorities are embedded across Adult Social Care, through delivery of briefing sessions, direct advice and support, sharing strong practice and learning.
The Team support in producing and delivering bespoke and mandatory safeguarding training to a variety of audiences.
The Safeguarding Adults Team work in partnership with Primary Health Care partners, NHS Trusts, the Police, the Integrated Care Board (ICB), the Care Quality Commission (CQC), care providers, housing services, advocacy organisations, and wider community partners to protect adults at risk of abuse, neglect, self-neglect, and exploitation.

The successful candidate
Key responsbilities include providing safeguarding advice to teams. Advice will be given on a range of safeguarding adults related areas, including individual cases, best practice, and policy and procedures (including Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards).
