Overview
We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our growing construction team and oversee the successful delivery of projects across London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and commercially minded construction professional with a strong background working for construction companies within London. The successful candidate will be based primarily on one major project while also providing support and oversight to smaller projects and client meetings across the capital as required.
About the Role
A key part of this position will be taking responsibility for a significant project commencing in August on Conduit Street, London. This high-profile scheme will involve a range of construction activities including:
Strip out works
Demolition
Structural steel works
Drainage works
Builder's works and associated construction packages
You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of delivery, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, on programme, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Manage construction projects from commencement through to completion.
Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, site managers, and project teams.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Maintain excellent relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
Lead and coordinate works including strip out, demolition, structural steel, drainage, and builder's works packages.
Attend site meetings, progress reviews, and client meetings across London.
Monitor health and safety compliance across all projects.
Provide commercial and operational oversight to support successful project delivery.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the construction industry.
Previous experience working for construction companies delivering projects in London.
Strong knowledge of strip out, demolition, structural steel, drainage, and builder's works packages.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
IT literacy including familiarity with document management systems and contract administration software is essential.
Strong commercial awareness and contract management experience.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously.
Full UK driving licence preferred.
Working Pattern
Full-time, permanent position.
5 days per week on site.
Primarily based on the Conduit Street project, with flexibility to travel across London to oversee smaller projects and attend meetings when required.
Salary & Benefits
£70,000 – £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
