This role is focused on one thing - keeping production, packing and logistics running smoothly, efficiently and without disruption.
The Role
This is a hands-on operational role at the heart of the business.
Whilst the primary task will be overseeing and supporting our 2 main packaging lines it will also involve supporting the wider team with wider production, packing and warehouse operations to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately, on time, and to a high standard.
You will be relied on as a dependable, flexible operator who can step into multiple areas and keep things moving.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Machinery Support (Core Priority)
· Operate and support production machinery
· Assist with changeovers, setup and basic troubleshooting
· Ensure machinery is running efficiently and safely
· Flag issues early to minimise downtime
2. Packing & Order Fulfilment
· Pack products to required standards across multiple brands
· Ensure accuracy, presentation and consistency
· Work to deadlines to meet daily dispatch targets
· Maintain a clean and organised packing environment
3. Warehouse & Logistics
· Build pallets for dispatch (UK and international orders)
· Load/unload deliveries and organise stock
· Support goods-in and goods-out processes
· Maintain clear, structured warehouse organisation
4. General Maintenance & Problem Solving
· Carry out basic repairs and fixes where possible
· Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements
· Support with day-to-day operational issues
· Be proactive in keeping the site running smoothly
What Good Looks Like (3–6 Months)
Overseeing and Operating 2 critical packaging lines to optimise output on daily basis.
Delivering production targets to ensure that service levels are maintained and waste is minimised.
Identifying and solving general maintenance issues related to the packaging operation to facilitate reduced downtime
A consistently organised and well-run workspace, including completion and recording of key data and ensuring Health & Safety standards are always maintained.
Supporting the extended manufacturing team as and when required
Ideal Profile
Experience in working on and/or managing production lines (experience with Lareka Wrapping, TFreemantle Automatic Cartoner Lines and/or PFM Pearl Servo flow wrap machines would be an advantage)
Practical, hands-on and mechanically minded
Strong work ethic and reliability
Comfortable working across different tasks and priorities
Detail-oriented with a focus on doing things properly
