About V2Power
V2Power is a growing UK clean-energy company specialising in EV charging infrastructure and battery energy storage. As our UK team expands, we are building our HR and people function from the ground up — and we're looking for an Admin & HR Assistant to be part of it from day one.
Who You Are
You're organised, reliable and take pride in getting the details right. You enjoy bringing structure to busy days, communicate clearly and professionally, and handle confidential information with discretion. You're interested in HR as a career direction and ready to learn by doing — with real responsibility from the start.
Current students and recent graduates are welcome to apply.
The Role
Working directly with our HR lead, you will support the full recruitment cycle and day-to-day HR and office administration. This is a hands-on role in a small, fast-moving company: you won't be a small cog in a big machine — you'll help build the machine.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & HR
- Post and manage job advertisements (Indeed, LinkedIn, university career platforms) and help build our direct hiring channels
- Screen CVs and maintain the candidate pipeline and talent pool records
- Coordinate interviews: scheduling, candidate communication and record keeping
- Support onboarding: right to work checks, document collection and new starter records
- Maintain HR records (holiday, attendance, employee files) and assist with HR documentation
Administration & Office Support
- Day-to-day administrative support: document filing, correspondence, meeting arrangements and note taking
- Office administration: supplies, coordination with suppliers and service providers, support for company and team events
- Basic expense and invoice administration (collecting receipts, preparing records for the finance team)
- Ad-hoc administrative tasks and projects as the team grows
What You'll Gain
Hands-on exposure to the full employee lifecycle in a growing company: recruitment and selection, right to work compliance, onboarding, HR records and systems, payroll coordination, and HR policy and process building — the kind of end-to-end experience that usually takes years to see in a large organisation.
Requirements
- Permanent right to work in the UK (British citizens, settled status or ILR) — we are unable to offer visa sponsorship
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication in English
- Confident with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
- Reliable, proactive, and able to handle confidential information with discretion
No previous HR experience is required — we're looking for aptitude, reliability and a genuine interest in learning.
What We Offer
- £14.00 per hour, paid monthly, plus statutory holiday and pension (where eligible)
- 3 days per week, working mainly from home with occasional visits to our London office
- Real HR work from day one, working directly with the HR lead — not just filing and phones
- The opportunity to move to a full-time permanent role after the 6-month term
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in London SE17 1RS
