Able Tutors is a leading tutoring agency based in London. At the moment we are looking for experienced tutors to teach GCSE English, in-person roles in London.
This is a face-to-face position and will involve you teaching on a 1-to-1 basis.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least one year of experience teaching English from the UK National Curriculum
- Extensive knowledge of current GCSE Curriculum requirements.
- Must hold an enhanced DBS check (or be willing to undergo one).
- able to travel to Islington, London
- have a relevant degree
- enhanced DBS clearance within the last 3 years
- be able to work during and/or after school hours and/or at weekends
- Be able to provide two references from recent employers or clients (e.g., parents of tutees or school leadership) who can verify your teaching/tutoring experience.
- The pay is dependent on qualifications and level of tuition required
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement tailored lesson plans for GCSE English students.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and engaging learning environment to encourage student participation.
- Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding academic performance and areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on curriculum changes and educational best practices to enhance teaching methods.
