What You Need to Succeed

We are an award winning academy who are now recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join us on a permanent basis.
The role of Teaching Assistant is crucial in promoting the learning and personal development of all pupils; including but not exclusively, those with special education needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing support to the Teacher in the planning, delivery and and the evaluation of learning activities.
- Consistently and effectively implementing agreed behaviour management strategies.
- Working 1-2-1 as required to support students access learning within the classroom environment.
- Motivating and encouraging students by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks.
We are seeking candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Experience of establishing positive relationships with students empathise with their needs (desirable).
- Knowledge of SEN (desirable).
- Maths and English GCSE Grade A- C or equivalent.
- Confident in supervising children during activities indoors and outdoors.
- Patient, calm and relaxed with an enthusiastic approach to learning.
