Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily activities, promoting a high standard of care for all residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Drive patients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment within the care home or home setting.
- Engage with patients in meaningful activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being.
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Experience in a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
- A compassionate attitude towards providing care and support to individuals in need.
