Dental Receptionist & Dental Nurse – Hove

We are recruiting for Dental Nurses and Dental Receptionists, including nurses who are nearing completion of their dental nursing training.

DENTAL NURSE – QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- GDC registered, or currently completing dental nurse training
- Excellent chairside support skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of decontamination and sterilisation procedures
- Excellent organisation and time management
- Motivated, enthusiastic and reliable
- Professional appearance and manner
- Commitment to patient confidentiality
- Compassionate approach when dealing with nervous patients
- Good references
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide high-quality chairside support to dentists
- Assist with the smooth running of the practice
- Maintain clinical areas and equipment to a high standard
- Follow infection control, decontamination and sterilisation procedures
- Follow manufacturer guidelines for clinical equipment
- Maintain accurate and professional standards at all times
- Support patients in a friendly, reassuring and professional manner
- Attend training as required to develop skills and knowledge
- Undertake general ad-hoc duties to support the practice team
DENTAL RECEPTIONIST – QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Previous dental reception or healthcare reception experience preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Friendly, professional and confident telephone manner
- Good IT and computer skills
- Excellent organisation and time management
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a busy environment
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Understanding of patient confidentiality
- Reliable, motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Good references
RECEPTION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome patients and provide a friendly, professional service
- Manage appointments, cancellations and patient enquiries
- Answer telephone calls and respond to emails
- Take payments and assist with administrative duties
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Liaise effectively with clinicians and the wider practice team
- Discuss treatment appointments and finance options with patients where appropriate
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the reception area
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Undertake general administrative and ad-hoc duties
SALARY & HOURS
Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience – to be discussed at interview.
Job Types: Part-time or Full-time
Hours: 15–37.5 hours per week
