Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse and Forklift Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations, handling materials with precision, and operating forklifts safely to support the seamless flow of goods. Your proactive approach will ensure that shipments are loaded and unloaded accurately, inventory is maintained properly, and the warehouse environment remains organized and safe. Working hours Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30
Responsibilities
- Order Fulfilment: Select products from inventory based on customer orders, ensuring correct quantity, size, colour, and SKU
- Packing and Labelling: Package items securely using appropriate materials, attach shipping labels, and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular stock checks, maintain organized storage, and report discrepancies or damaged items
- Quality Control: Inspect items for defects or damage before shipment to maintain product quality standards
- Equipment Operation: Safely use warehouse technology such as RF scanners, handheld devices and pallet jacks, forklifts
- Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols, maintain a clean workspace, and report hazards or operational issues
- Process Improvement: Assist in identifying opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and workflow
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in materials handling tasks
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift, move, and handle products for extended periods
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accurate picking, packing, and labelling of orders
- Time Management: Complete orders efficiently within set deadlines
- Basic Technology Skills: Operate warehouse management systems, scanners, and other digital tools
- Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors
- Organizational Skills: Maintain orderly inventory and workspace
Qualifications
- Counterbalance and Pivot Steer licenses are essential
- GCSE in Math and English
