Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated standalone HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager to lead our organisation’s safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective safety programmes across all operational areas. Duties
- Develop, review, and update health, safety, and environmental policies in line with legislative requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead investigations into accidents or incidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Prepare comprehensive report writing on safety performance, incidents, audits, and inspections for management review.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures, including first aid arrangements and training programmes.
- Deliver safety training sessions to employees at all levels to foster a culture of safety awareness.
- Monitor compliance with legal standards and company policies through audits and inspections.
- Collaborate with operational teams to integrate health and safety considerations into daily activities.
- Maintain accurate records of safety activities, incident reports, training sessions, and inspection findings.
Requirements
- Proven experience in health, safety, or environmental management within manufacturing setting
- Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH certification or equivalent
- Experience in OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001
- Internal audit experience of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
- Strong report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in conducting root cause analysis to identify underlying issues behind incidents or hazards.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying risks and implementing solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams while maintaining a strong focus on compliance standards.

Pay: Up to £45,000.00 per year
