Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cladding Fixer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining cladding systems on various building projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilise a range of technical skills, and contribute to high-quality building finishes. Applicants should have a strong background in construction-related trades and be comfortable working at heights and with heavy materials. All positions are paid, including internships, ensuring fair compensation for your expertise and effort.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation of cladding systems
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble cladding panels using hand tools and power tools
- Install cladding securely onto building exteriors, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required to adapt materials for specific applications
- Utilise carpentry skills for framing or support structures related to cladding installation
- Conduct maintenance or repairs on existing cladding systems as needed
- Work at heights safely when installing cladding on multi-storey buildings
- Assist with other construction duties such as masonry, roofing, plumbing, or general site tasks as required
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and organised throughout the project lifecycle
Skills
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings
- Experience with welding, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, roofing, plumbing or related trades is advantageous
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to work in demanding environments at heights or in confined spaces
- Previous experience in cladding installation or similar exterior finishing trades is desirable
