At The Well Country Pub & Kitchen, we’re looking for a motivated and reliable Experienced Chef to join our friendly, professional kitchen team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Chef de Partie looking for a new challenge, or an experienced Commis Chef ready to progress, within a busy fresh-food kitchen where development and career progression are genuinely encouraged.
You’ll work closely with our Head Chef, who brings over 17 years of experience in established professional kitchens, with the opportunity to develop your skills and work towards progression into a Sous Chef position.
What You’ll Be Doing
● Preparing and cooking high-quality, fresh dishes with consistency and attention to detail.
● Developing experience across all sections of the kitchen.
● Working with fresh, seasonal ingredients and maintaining high standards of presentation.
● Supporting stock control, food hygiene and kitchen organisation.
● Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef during busy services.
● Helping maintain the standards and reputation our customers have come to expect.
● Taking on greater responsibility as your skills and confidence develop.
What We’re Looking For
● Previous experience working in a professional kitchen.
● A positive, proactive attitude and genuine desire to develop your career.
● Confidence working under pressure during busy services.
● Strong organisation, time management and teamwork skills.
● A passion for fresh ingredients and well-presented food.
● Reliability and a professional approach to your work.
● A full UK driving licence and access to transport are essential due to our location.
What We Offer
● £25,000–£33,000 annual salary, depending on experience.
● Average additional tips of approximately £4,000 per year.
● Potential average total earnings of £29,000–£37,000 per year.

● Hands-on training and development directly alongside an experienced Head Chef.

● Two days off each week.
