Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant:
We are looking for Gloucester based caring, supportive and experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants to join their community. Looking for people who can work on both daily supply and full-time basis (5 days/week) to support students KS1 & KS2. The needs that you will be primarily supporting would be speech and language difficulties along with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other disabilities including cerebral palsy.
The schools want highly skilled, well qualified and experienced staff, who have strong backgrounds in supporting special educational needs. They are hoping to find people who are committed to the development of emotional well-being, social communication, social interaction and independence skills is central to the school’s ethos.
The hours of work are typically between 8.30AM - 4PM, five days a week, and pay is up to £104 a day.
The IDEAL candidate will:
- Be able to work full-time
- Have experience working supporting needs like speech & language disabilities and autism
- Have knowledge other relevant teaching strategies and resources
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Have a positive and proactive attitude towards supporting children with SEN
- Driving license or ability to travel to schools within Stroud & Gloucester
