Exam Access and Compliance Coordinator

Working Hours: 18.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Salary: £25,023 FTE per annum (Actual Salary £12,511.50 per annum)
Annual Leave: 145 hours per annum
As our Exam Access and Compliance Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating, planning, administering and submitting Access Arrangements for learners across the college, ensuring full compliance with Awarding Body and Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations.
The role requires a strong commitment to high standards of service delivery, accuracy, responsiveness and customer care, ensuring that learners receive appropriate support in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities of our Exam Access and Compliance Coordinator:
- Coordinate and facilitate Access Arrangement applications for learners across the college.
- Liaise effectively with learners, parents/carers, external agencies, secondary schools and other education providers to initiate and manage applications in a timely and professional manner, responding appropriately to queries regarding Access Arrangements.
- Request, retrieve and collate supporting evidence from secondary schools and other educational providers, including Form 8 and Form 9 documentation.
- Ensure all access arrangements paperwork and evidence are completed and collated in a timely manner and at a high standard for inspection.
- Provide advice and guidance to teaching staff on evidencing learners normal way of working within the classroom environment.
- Explain approved Exam Access Arrangements to learners and ensure they understand how these arrangements operate in practice.
- Coordinate Exam Access Arrangements assessments, liaising effectively with learners, parents/carers, tutors and assessors to ensure assessments are arranged and completed in a timely and professional manner.
- Complete and process relevant JCQ documentation, including Form 8 (Part 1), Form 9, Form BD25% and Form 8RF, as required.
- Submit Access Arrangements applications within awarding body deadlines and in accordance with JCQ regulations.
- Ensure learners have appropriate approved Access Arrangements in place for examinations, in line with awarding body requirements.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records, including Form 8 documentation and evidence of history of need, ensuring all records are completed promptly and to a high standard for inspection.
- Compile and maintain evidence required to meet JCQ inspection standards, keeping fully up to date with current regulations and any changes to JCQ guidance.
What we’re looking for in our Exam Access and Compliance Coordinator:
- GCSE English & Maths Grade C or equivalent
- Experience of working within an office environment
- Experience of working within JCQ Regulations
- Accurate record keeping and data inputting and monitoring
- Work effectively both independently and as a member of a team
- Proficient in the use of office technology including word processing, databases and spreadsheets
