We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare & Support Worker to join our team, providing essential care and assistance to individuals in various care settings. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for residents and clients by delivering personalized support, ensuring safety, and promoting independence. Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
- Provide patient care by monitoring health conditions, administering medication as prescribed, and assisting with medical routines.
- Support individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing behavior management techniques and engaging them in meaningful activities.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Conduct light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Drive clients or residents to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safe transportation.
Qualifications
- Prior assisted living or nursing home experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including medication administration and first aid certification.
- Experience with dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, or senior care is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting with mobility or transfers.
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on compassion and patience.
- Valid driver’s license for transportation duties; clean driving record preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
