We are seeking a dedicated Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide essential support to dentists during patient treatments, ensuring a high standard of patient care and comfort. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and sterilised.
- Provide compassionate care and support to patients before, during, and after treatments, ensuring their comfort and understanding of procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, including updating treatment notes and scheduling appointments.
- Ensure the clinical environment adheres to health and safety standards, including infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures clearly and answering any questions they may have.
- Organise appointment schedules efficiently to optimise patient flow and practice operations.
- Support administrative duties such as managing stock levels of dental supplies and maintaining cleanliness within the clinical area.
Requirements
- Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare setting, preferably in dentistry or nursing.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Good IT skills to manage electronic health records and practice management software.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures relevant to dental practice.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
