Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Takeaway Team Members to join our busy food service team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring a smooth takeaway operation. The ideal candidate will be organised, efficient, and passionate about delivering quality food and service in a fast-paced environment. All positions are paid, including internships, and offer opportunities for skill development within the hospitality sector.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble takeaway orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring high standards of food presentation and safety.
- Serve customers at the counter or via contactless methods, providing friendly and professional assistance.
- Assist with food safety procedures, including proper handling, storage, and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and ingredients.
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Upsell additional menu items where appropriate to enhance customer experience and maximise sales.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Support the team during busy periods by assisting with basic kitchen tasks such as food prep and packaging.
Skills
- Experience in food preparation or restaurant service is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices within a kitchen environment.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Previous kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during peak hours.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Upselling skills to promote menu items confidently without pressuring customers.
