Chalk Education is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant
This role is ideal for someone with a strong presence, resilience, and the ability to build positive relationships with young people who display challenging behaviours. You will play a vital role in providing stability, structure, and encouragement to help students achieve both academically and personally.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils on a one-to-one and group basis.
- Helping to manage behaviour in a calm, confident, and consistent way.
- Assisting the teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
- Acting as a positive role model for secondary-age learners.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people who present challenging behaviours.
- Resilience, patience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- A confident, proactive, and supportive approach.
- Previous experience in an SEMH or similar setting is highly desirable.
