Overview
We are seeking three dedicated and experienced Nursery Room Leaders to oversee the daily operations of our nursery environment.
- Two roles are within Toddler Rooms
- One Role is within our Preschool.
The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a genuine passion for early childhood education.
This role offers an opportunity to create a nurturing and stimulating atmosphere for young children, ensuring their developmental needs are met in a safe and engaging setting
The Nursery Room Leader will be responsible for guiding staff, organising activities, and maintaining high standards of childcare who must have a minimum of 2-3 years experience as a senior Nursery Nurse or Room Leader.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise nursery staff to ensure smooth daily operations and delivery of high-quality childcare.
- Plan, organise, and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early learning and development.
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore.
- Monitor children's progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and licensing requirements.
- Manage administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate records of attendance, incidents, and developmental milestones.
- Develop and build relationships with our families
- Support staff training and professional development to uphold best practices in childcare.
- Drive organisational initiatives to improve nursery services and promote a positive team culture.
Skills
- Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise effectively with parents, staff, and external agencies.
- Extensive experience working with children, particularly within early childhood education or nursery environments.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in childcare.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Childcare qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent).
- Ability to motivate and lead a team with confidence and professionalism.
