We have a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our finance team, based at our site in Carnaby, Bridlington. Working hours for this role are 07:45 - 17:00 Monday - Thursday and 08:00 - 13:00 Friday, with hybrid working options available.
Vacancy Details
In the Management Accountant position you will work closely within the finance team, working closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver high-quality, financial reporting, analysis, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the Head of Finance with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and board / group reporting
- Partnering with operational departments to monitor costs, identify trends and drive efficiencies
- Produce weekly performance and KPI reporting across the business
- Prepare VAT and CIS returns
- Oversee cash reporting, bank reconciliations, cash forecasting, and profit forecasting
- Support the annual budgeting process, including departmental budget setting and monitoring
- Assist with the preparation of annual IFRS statutory financial statements
- Develop and enhance financial reporting, internal controls, and business processes
- Provide insightful analysis and management information to support business decision making
- Liaise with Group finance teams, auditors and external advisors
- Deputise for the Head of Finance when required
Key skills and experience:
This role would suit a qualified or nearly qualified ACA ACCA OR CIMA accountant, with experience within a finance role (construction or manufacturing environment preferred but not essential).
- Ownership of monthly management accounts
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- Group reporting experience (preferred)
- Process improvement (preferred)
- Experience working with operational stakeholders
