Field Sales & Account Executive – Foodservice
Meat Giant UK Limited
Location: London / South London
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About Meat Giant
Meat Giant is a rapidly growing BRCGS Grade AA and SALSA accredited halal meat processor based in Croydon, South London.
We supply a growing portfolio of restaurants, QSRs, caterers, meal-prep companies, food manufacturers, hospitality groups and other foodservice businesses across London and beyond.
We are building Meat Giant to become one of the leading names in the UK halal meat industry, and we're looking for the right person to join us at an exciting stage of our growth.
This is not a traditional desk-based sales role.
You'll be out in the market visiting restaurants, kitchens, caterers, food manufacturers and other businesses, meeting chefs, business owners, procurement teams and managers, introducing our products, taking samples and developing long-term customer relationships.
We're looking for someone who is personable, ambitious, confident and commercially minded — someone who enjoys meeting people and wants to build a genuine career in sales.
The Role
We're looking for a Field Sales & Account Executive to work closely with our Head of Commercial Growth and become an important part of our growing commercial team.
Your role will focus on two key areas:
1. Developing and growing existing customers
2. Finding and developing new business opportunities
You'll take ownership of a portfolio of existing customers, making regular contact and visits, understanding their requirements and identifying opportunities to increase their spend.
You'll also spend time in the field identifying potential customers, introducing Meat Giant, developing relationships and creating new opportunities.
You don't need years of experience in the meat industry.
We're much more interested in your personality, communication skills, attitude, organisation and willingness to learn.
This could suit someone who already has experience in sales, account management, hospitality, recruitment, customer service or business development — or someone who is early in their sales career and looking for the opportunity to progress.

- Regularly visit customers and understand their businesses and requirements.
- Maintain regular contact with key accounts.
- Identify opportunities to increase customer spend.
- Introduce additional products and product lines.
- Take samples and arrange product trials.
- Identify opportunities for additional volumes, new products and new sites.
- Gather customer feedback and communicate it to the wider Meat Giant team.
- Work with production and operations to help resolve customer requirements.
- Ensure customers receive a high level of service.
- Help retain and develop our existing customer base.
Field Sales & New Business
- Visit restaurants, QSRs, caterers, meal-prep companies, food manufacturers, hotels and other food businesses.
- Identify potential customers and new business opportunities.
- Introduce Meat Giant and explain our capabilities.
- Build relationships with chefs, procurement teams, operations managers and business owners.
- Arrange and deliver product samples.
- Understand customer requirements, specifications and volumes.
- Follow up on samples, quotations and meetings.
- Develop opportunities from initial conversation through to trial and onboarding.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers.
- Qualify larger opportunities before passing them to the Head of Commercial Growth.
- Support larger opportunities throughout the sales process.
- Attend customer meetings and site visits.
Commercial Support
- Maintain accurate CRM and customer information.
- Record sales activity, meetings, opportunities and follow-ups.
- Follow up on quotations and customer enquiries.
- Gather product specifications, volumes and delivery requirements.
- Work with production and operations to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood.
- Help coordinate customer trials and new account onboarding.
- Provide regular updates on account development and pipeline activity.
- Take ownership of day-to-day commercial tasks and follow-ups.

The Person
We're looking for someone who is:
A People Person
You enjoy meeting people, having conversations and building genuine relationships.
You understand that good sales isn't just about making a sale — it's about understanding the customer and becoming someone they want to work with.
A Strong Communicator
You're confident speaking to different types of people, from chefs and restaurant managers to business owners and procurement teams.
You can communicate professionally while still being personable and approachable.
Ambitious
You want to develop yourself and build a career.
You don't necessarily need to be an experienced salesperson — but you need to have the ambition to become one.
Coachable
You'll be working closely with our Head of Commercial Growth, so you'll have the opportunity to learn directly from experienced commercial leadership.
We're looking for someone who listens, takes feedback and wants to continuously improve.
Organised
You'll be managing customer visits, samples, quotations, follow-ups and opportunities.
You need to be able to manage your workload and make sure things don't fall through the cracks.
Commercially Minded
You naturally look for opportunities.
If a customer is buying one product, you'll be curious about what else they use.
If they're opening another site, you'll want to understand how Meat Giant can support it.
Confident but Not Pushy
We're not looking for someone who aggressively sells.
We want someone who can walk into a business, introduce themselves, have a conversation, understand the customer's requirements and build a relationship.
Why Join Meat Giant?
This is an opportunity to join a business while it is still in a significant growth phase.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Work directly alongside the Head of Commercial Growth.
- Learn how to sell into the foodservice industry.
- Visit some of London's most exciting restaurants, QSRs, caterers and food businesses.
- Build relationships with chefs, business owners and procurement teams.
- Develop your own portfolio of customers.
- Generate your own new business opportunities.
- Learn the full sales process from prospecting through to account development.
- Gain experience in B2B sales, account management and business development.
- Work closely with senior management and company ownership.
- Play a genuine role in growing the commercial function.
- Develop into a senior commercial position as the company grows.
Career Progression
We're not looking for someone to simply fill a sales position.
We're looking for someone who can grow with Meat Giant.
You'll initially work closely with our Head of Commercial Growth and develop your ability across:
Prospecting → Meetings → Samples → Trials → Quotations → Negotiation → Closing → Account Management → Account Growth
As your experience and performance develop, there will be opportunities to take on:
- Larger customer accounts.
- Greater responsibility across London.
- Larger territories.
- Key account management.
- Strategic business development.
- Sales leadership responsibilities.
- Potential management of future sales team members.
Your progression will be based on performance, capability and ambition.
Salary & Package
Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience.
We're open to discussing the right package based on experience, commercial ability and existing relationships within the foodservice industry.
Further details regarding commission, bonuses and progression can be discussed during the interview process.
Who This Role Is Ideal For

- Enjoys being out meeting customers rather than sitting behind a desk.

We are more interested in your potential than simply the number of years on your CV.
