Love Shopping Direct is a fast-growing ecommerce business with its own websites and established marketplace presence, specialising in energy-efficient heating and cooling products. We are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded and creative marketing professional to join our growing Marketing & Ecommerce team. In this role, you will lead the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that drive traffic, sales and brand engagement, while creating compelling visual content that strengthens our brand across all digital channels.
The Role
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, planning and delivering our marketing activity across the Love Shopping Direct group of websites and associated marketing channels. Working closely with the ecommerce, marketplaces, purchasing and product teams, the role will ensure the brand, product and marketing campaigns are executed effectively, maximising commercial performance and customer engagement.
This is a hands-on role and the successful candidate will be equally comfortable building annual campaign plans and executing day-to-day marketing activity across digital and offline channels.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Planning & Execution
- Develop and manage the annual marketing calendar aligned to commercial objectives, seasonal opportunities and key trading events.
Digital Marketing
- Oversee the execution of digital marketing campaigns across the digital channels including Websites, CRM, Affiliates, Social and Paid Search channels
- Manage our product merchandising across the sites
- Monitor channel effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve ROI.
Offline Marketing
- Plan and coordinate offline marketing activity including:
- Direct mail campaigns, Printed promotional materials, Catalogues and flyers, Event and exhibition support, Trade and Partnership opportunities
- Ensure consistency of messaging and brand presentation across all touchpoints.
Commercial & Trading Support
- Collaborate with ecommerce and product teams to support product launches, promotional campaigns and category growth initiatives.
- Support the growth of own-brand products through targeted marketing activity.
Brand Management
- Maintain consistency of brand identity and tone of voice across all channels.
- Work with the creative team to brief and develop campaign assets.
- Ensure all communications reflect the values and positioning of the business and its brands.
Analysis & Reporting
- Define campaign objectives and KPIs.
- Analyse campaign performance and provide actionable insights.
- Produce regular reports highlighting performance, learnings and recommendations.
- Use customer, sales and channel data to inform future marketing decisions.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships across departments including ecommerce, creative, customer service, purchasing and operations.
- Manage external agencies, suppliers and partners where required.
- Champion best practice and continuous improvement within the marketing function.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Minimum 3 years experience in a marketing role, ideally within ecommerce or retail.
- Proven experience planning and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and performance metrics.
- Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Commercially minded with a strong focus on driving results.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Desirable
- Experience working within a multi-brand retail environment.
- Experience managing agencies and external partners.
- Experience supporting offline marketing initiatives.
